I was just offered a writing/consulting job for a documentary project on TV!

I received a phone call from a film director friend of mine today. About 2 months ago I told him that I have an idea for a documentary on everyday psychology and I thought about the pilot already. I told him and he liked it. However, I did not write it down as I thought that “This will be rejected by the TV producers anyway” I was not that hopeful thanks to my depression.

Today he said, he told my idea to a producer and he accepted to present the pilot to a TV channel and he wants me to get my ass down and write the script for the pilot this week. If the pilot passes, there will ve 13 episodes in total. I am so hopeful this time. For the next 2 days I will be working on that. This Wednesday the pilot script will be ready and sent to the channel!

If accepted in the first round, we will produce the pilot and if they like it, I will be writing 12 more episodes. They are also thinking to make me the presenter of the show but I want to keep my role at minimum on screen.

Ok, ok I admit that I’ve become lazy :)

I was quite lazy about my projects this last week but I have some excuses. I was sick for 3 days, I wasted my time on a date for 2 days, and I was a lazy bitch for 2 days. My excuses are not very good 🙂

So I should be getting my butt up and get to work.

Weightloss project updates

As you remember, I recently regained my successfully lost pounds back in the past week.

5 - Copy

I started with 130lbs on 23rd Dec 2015.

Lost 10lbs and I was 120lbs on 2nd Jan 2015.

Gained them back on and reached 128lbs on 10th Jan 2015.

Lost some of that gained and today I am 123lbs on 13rd Jan 2015.

Yes with some setbacks due to toothache + antibiotics + painkillers + oversleeping + less movement + depressed eating I was a little bit out of route. Now, I am getting back to my project.

A few people said that my happiness should not be measured by lbs or kgs, I should be happy with what I am…

Why the hell I am doing this life changing project then? Of course I am not happy with what I am 🙂 That is why I have 35 projects to go… I just cannot understand people sometimes 🙂

Thank God, there are many people here supporting me. Thank you so much for your support. I did not give up! I may change my deadline for weightloss as I don’t want to rush myself that much and lose my health again. Maybe 15th of February will replace my ex-deadline 31st Jan 2015 for ideal weight project.

Love,

Alex

About keeping your blog updated

blog 2 - Copy

If you want your followers to keep up with you, posting once week will not do the trick.

If you are a perfectionist and revise your blogs 10 times before posting, you can try a 3 step plan:

1. Update your followers daily about what you are working on

2. Share finished parts of your post daily instead of a long post every week.

3. Post now revise later. Post something and then you can make editing, revisions etc.

Bonus: You can also make a category like this for your updates
Here is an update example about one of my goals of 1 year. Do not wait 1 year to share your progress, share them as they become “some progress”.

Movie project updates! 64 left from IMDB 250

For the past 3 days I was so sick that only thing that I did was watching some movies from my watchlist IMDB 250.

I’ve made quite a breakthrough 🙂 watching 35 movies in a week 🙂

Updated on Jan, 3rd 2015 (99 movies left)

Update :) More than movies or cooking…

2 down 2 to go :

Alfred Hitchcock  watchlist:

Lunch cooked, eaten, dinner is being cooked, poached pumking dessert cooked (I made a huge pot of it from 2kgs of pumpkin for the whole week haha 🙂

I still have the PhD thesis defense thing and it bothers me a little as I did nothing about it. So, I decided to admit that tomorrow in front of a committee of professors including a dean 🙂

Sorry, I have nothing to lose now. I am trying to survive, to get healty, to increase my self-esteem, self-respect etc.

Not more than a month ago I was such a mess and now I reached a level of self-success of getting the control of my mind&body back. Thesis and the committe should wait.

If they fail me tomorrow, I will not despair. If they pass me I will not be relieved either. So, I am quite indifferent, why worry then?

🙂

I wish I was like this when I was younger when I thought that life was a race. Now, I see that all that it counts is me, and I don’t feel like racing any more, instead I feel like having what I want and when I want.

As Gregory House (main character of House MD TV show) said once

“You are an adult, you don’t HAVE TO do anything!”

Well, isn’t it the best part of being one 🙂

Love,

Alex

Update on “get rid of it” project!

As you remember, the project was as follows and here are latest updates:

GET RID OF IT PROJECT: Giving up, giving away, letting go of unuseful stuff from my life:

  • Giving up on the activities I used to like but I really do not have energy/time/motivation to do anymore. Once I love them, now I do not have time to love them. So, I will just stop setting goals and failing about them 🙂 Relieved already.

I’m giving up on being a Tango Argentina performer

I was a really good on-stage dancer focused only on ”Tango Argentina”. I learned but never performed any Latina or other ballroom dances on stage. However, I fell in love with the Tango passion 🙂 Well, that was 15 years ago. I always missed dancing on stage and my firends endlessly tried to convince me to go back on stage every year but something was off. I wanted to dance but the work, school, career and jealous boyfriends made me leave it behind. I felt that it was not my choice but other factors that kept me from stage. However, now I realize that, if I wanted it that much I would have find some time for the past 3 years as I did not even have a boyfriend to be jealous 🙂 So, I leave you behind Tango Argentina, with my own choice now, with good memories of aching feet, endless hours of rehearsals, strong friendships and stormy applause I heard after my stage performances. I will not sigh any more about you. So long…

I’m giving up on expecting too much from myself

I lowered some of my expectations about my projects and postponed some deadlines today. I don’t want to hate this project I want to love it through the journey. Here are my updates about less expectations.

  • Giving away the clothes I haven’t worn for more than a year, and the things that are not useful to me any more. They make a crowded feeling around me. So better get rid of them 🙂

I nearly made 8 big packs of clothes to be given away. I will send them to my mother and she will take care of the give-away part. I also found a chance to clean and organize my closet during the evaluation 🙂 I also got rid of some of the things which seem useless for me including furniture, kitchen utensils etc.

  • Letting go of the people who drain my energy, who I do not contact anymore, clearing phonebook & facebook “so called” friends.

I haven’t started to clear my list yet. I will do it this week 🙂

I suppose this project will be finished by the end of this week long before the deadline which is at the end of January 🙂

UPDATES on two projects: lowering my expectations to a no-panic level :)

 3. GRADUATE PHD THESIS PROJECT. Finish PhD thesis and graduate in June 2015. This is the big goal. First I have to pass my 3rd defence on 5th Jan 2015. I am absolutely not prepared. So I have to work a loooooot this week. I have to do so many things. Panic panic panic !!! (first posted on December 23rd, 2014) Updated on Jan 3rd, 2015, as I learned I have more time 3 more semesters to graduate, so I decided not to panic myself, I changed it to PhD thesis project as I want to finish the data collection & analysis & writing the first draft by the end of the year. Deadline Dec 31st, 2015.

5. BOOK JOURNAL PROJECT: Read 200 books in a year. I really am a fast reader and I will keep a journal too. (first posted on December 24th, 2014) Updated on Jan 3rd, 2015, 200 is too many 🙂 let’s make it 100 🙂

2 days 2 New Year – updates

Although I am getting better, I am in no condition to travel or spend time in crowded places so I will spend the last day of 2014 and the first day of 2015 alone in my home.

I am not sad for being alone as I am getting my health back.

I’ve lost another pound and got a bit closer to my 100lbs (size 4) goal. I am now 122lbs. So, in a week, 8lbs is a good progress with my high aminoacids and high fat (good fat) but low carb leaky gut diet. I cannot believe that I am eating so much and losing weight.

As I cannot go out, because it is too damn cold and rainy/stormy outside and I am sick, I took my treadmill out from the closet and will start walking 10miles a day like I used to do by the seaside in spring, summer and autumn 🙂 No winter can stop me from my only favorite exercise.

I will start today, man I love walking outside but this is the lemonade I can get now 🙂

Today, I will write about my super healthy Alex diet against leaky gut and fibromyalgia.

The movie project is going beyond good, it is going super because I had lots of time at home as I am sick. I watch 4-5 movies a day from the list and I suppose I will finish this in a month, not in a year 🙂

I will be adding new projects on December 31st, but my new year has already started with this blog I can admit.

So, thanks for following and supporting, you don’t know how much it means to me 🙂

Alex
